Mission Statement
The mission of Vermillion Federal Credit Union, through member ownership and involvement, is to provide financial services in a professional and responsive manner, reflecting the credit union philosophy, "People Helping People."

Welcome to Vermillion Federal Credit Union!

The credit union is a not-for-profit financial institution serving members in the Vermillion community since 1959. Membership is now open to everyone who works in, lives in, worships in or attends school in Clay County, South Dakota. Becoming a member of the credit union means that you also become a part owner. Because of its not-for-profit, tax exempt status, the credit union is able to provide very competitive loan and dividend rates to all of its members.

Safe and Sound Operations

The Vermillion Federal Credit Union's Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee are made up of fellow member-owners who serve on a volunteer basis. This ensures that friendly, personalized service remains a first priority. It also helps control operating costs and maintains the integrity of safe, sound operations.

The credit union does not invest in risky ventures, such as foreign loans and commercial loans. It invests primarily in YOU and your fellow member owners, in the form of prudent loans which are repaid on a timely basis. Excess earnings are returned to the members in the form of higher savings rates and lower loan rates and fees.

Deposits Are Federally Insured

Your deposits are federally insured through the National Credit Union Association (NCUA) in the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The fund is backed with the full faith and credit of the United States Government to at least $250,000 per member account. The NCUSIF is one of the most strongly capitalized funds in the country and is funded only by credit unions for credit unions.

Hours of Operation

Drive-up Hours: Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 12 noon

Lobby Hours: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday 9 am to 12 noon
